Chapter Fifty → I ain't lost, just wandering

Audra was able to keep her mind occupied for the most part, although there was always the unanswered questions in the back of her mind that attempted to drive her crazy.

Ever wake up and go to get breakfast and feel like there's someone in a trench coat fishing just feet away from you? No? Hmmm.

"Where's your brother?"

"He ran off to meet Tyrone or something, i dunno." Trista shrugged. "Hey, who's the chick outside at the pond?"

"You're aunt Alaura, she's quirky, ignore her."

Tommy had run off to meet Tyrone, they were going to hang at the beach. You know, to kick sand awkwardly and throw soggy french fries at little kids on the playground, the usual. Only, Tyrone wasn't there, he totally stood Tommy up! That bitch.

So Tommy headed home, but instead, stopped two doors down from his own house and walked up the steps of Tyrone's place. His mother was a lipstick lesbian, so there was an over abundance of pink, at least, that's how Tommy thought it worked. He might have be confusing his facts with something off the side of a Barbie box, meh, whatever.

When no one answered the door, he headed around back to the guest house, where he was met by Tyrone and of all people, Kaine, who was making a hasty exit. Tommy saw read. "What the hell dude!?" He snapped as he followed after Tyrone into the main house, the boy's step-mother in the kitchen teaching Tyrone's step sister how to walk.

"What the hell, what?" Tyrone asked, turning to face his best friend.

"You totally blew me off for fricking Kaine!? That douchebag." Tommy snapped, ignoring the fact that Gloria was right there. The woman was good about not interfering with her step-son and his teenage dramas.

"Kaine's not a douchebag, besides, what the hell do you care for!?" Tyrone snapped back.

"I don't!"

"You obviously do!"

"I just don't get why you... why was he even here?"

"I thought you didn't care." Tyrone said in a slightly bitchy tone, arching an eyebrow at him.

"I give up." Tommy sighed.

"Listen white boy..."

"Green!" Tommy nearly shouted

"Whatever!" Tyrone shouted back.

Both gave a sigh, looking off to the side. The anger Tommy had felt about being stood up had slowly boiled away to a knot of jealousy in is gut when he saw the other boy leaving, which might have been why he was acting so stupid. "Sorry." He mumbled with a little roll of his eyes. "I didn't mean to show up and start acting like an ass."

"I'm use to it." Tyrone said.

"Thanks." Tommy quipped sarcastically.

"Come here, stupid." Tyrone said before pulling the other boy into a hug.

"I don't know why i put up with you." Tyrone said teasingly, Tommy just chuckling. They had hugged before, god, hundreds of times before, it was nothing new. Nothing at all...

Okay, so they were close and there was a moment and other sappy things that Tommy didn't really need to think about because he wasn't living in a freaking movie! But still...

Meh, why not, you only live once.

"Sorry." Tyrone said after they parted, Tommy smiling a little lop sided smile.

"Don't be."

"I meant about standing you up." Tyrone clarified, he wasn't apologizing for the kiss, oh hell no!

"Oh, yeah, it's fine." Tommy chuckled.

At home, Audra had the damnedest time cleaning up a puddle that just wouldn't go away. Maybe someone should tell her... nah, it's funnier this way.

Just a couple of ghosts, hanging around a graveyard.

Michael got to keep his epic goggles even in death.

What, haven't you ever seen a ghost taxi driver before? It's what Suzanna does during the night, rent in the afterlife doesn't come cheap ya know.

The next morning, the teens head off to school as Audra breaks some boards, cause she can.

Once they were gone, after a quick shower, Audra headed down to the cellar to work.

With the blood she got from the knife, she managed to work out what she hopes is a viable cure.

But there's one more thing she needs...

Eventually the teens returned home and Audra had to be dragged upstairs for a birthday cake the bought at the store on their way home, damn, and she was hoping to forget her birthday this year.

No amount of shouting will make getting older okay.

See? Still not impressed with aging.

"If you do that long enough, your face will stick that way." One can only hope Tommy, one can only hope.

Chapter Notes:

Not a serious or even very coherent chapter, but whatever, it'll do for now. I seriously want this gen over already but i don't wanna push past everything else to get to the ending, so, a couple more posts before the end. Also, first kiss, whee! Well, first onscreen kiss, they've obviously been a couple since prom in game, but not in the story. Will attempt to post more later, we shall see. Also, did anyone else know ghosts could leave the graveyard? I sure as hell didn't.

And yes, Audra's hair and clothing changes a lot. It's not because the pictures are out of order and she didn't get fashion diva as her mis. fun. I just like changing her hair and clothing a lot.

  1. The ghost thing happened with Ambitions I think, it's a PITA when you want to interact with them.

Was the ghost driving a taxi a glitch? Or was it a default replacement of some kind? I'd love to have ghost taxi drivers.

  2. The ghost driving the taxi was autonomous, i was watching the graveyard for signs of ghosts and one just hopped into a cab and drove it across town before disappearing.

  3. I've been noticing ghosts all over my neighborhood now. At the grocery store, the library, everywhere. In broad daylight. I don't like it.

But I liked this chapter, coherent or not! I'm looking forward to the next Gen too, but am still interested in seeing how this one plays out!
