Chapter Forty-Two → So this is where I am, somewhere between unsure and a hundred

!WARNING! Danger Will Robinson!!
The following chapter will deal with the concept of being 'Roofied' that is, unknowingly slipped a drug commonly known as the 'date rape' drug as well as the repercussions that follow such an act. You have been warned, proceed at your own risk.

As the days and weeks dragged on, Audra could feel something different, it was more than the fact that her childhood, her innocence, was gone, there was something else.

It wasn't until one afternoon, when Aurora teasing said one would think Audra was pregnant with all the vomiting she did, that it all clicked into place for the girl. She was pregnant, sweet Jesus, what was she going to do? Being more than a little neurotic, the girl almost had a hysterical panic attack. But she managed to calm herself down, enough to know that it was now or never.

"Mom? Can i talk to you?"

"Sure honey."

"And dad?"

"Okay, anything you want sweetie."

Only nothing could have prepared Tamara and Jarvis for hearing what they had to hear, had they had to guess what Audra wanted to speak to them about, what she had to say would have been nowhere on the list.

The silence that had fallen over the room could have rivaled the silence of the night outside, what was there to say? What could be said?

Audra's pregnancy proceeded like any other pregnancy, it had it's ups and it's downs, well, mostly downs.

The teens tendency to over brush her teeth and wash her hands and shower became more pronounced throughout her pregnancy, perhaps because of all the vomiting, or she was just trying to wash the dirty away, the filth that was always there in the back of her mind. Like her soul was tainted, less whole than it once was.

Audra withdrew even more from the world, people, other teens her age, fearing human contact, the very idea of coupling.

As she got heavier, getting up into her loft bed became more difficult, which was why her father insisted on getting her a large double bed for her room. "Daddy, you really don't have too." She assured her father, after all, she wouldn't be pregnant forever and then she'd be able to maneuver better.

"You're almost twenty, even if you weren't pregnant, you're too old for that bunk bed." Jarvis reasoned.

With Audra's due day drawing nearer and nearer, she wondered exactly what would become of the children after she birthed them. Would she be able to look at them without trying to figure out who's eyes were staring back into hers? Would she love them?

"She's afraid she won't love them." Tamara said one afternoon to Jarvis, not looking up from her book, they found it easier to not blame each other for the girl's pain if they didn't face one another when they brought up Audra's pregnancy. It had been that afternoon when Tamara had taken Audra to the doctor's that they found out that the girl was having twins, which made sense since twins ran in the family, but that she had also found out about the teen's fears. "I told her she would, that she would see them for the first time and know that even though they came from a place of hurt and deceit, that they would live in a place of love and safety." Tamara paused, waiting for Jarvis to say something, only he didn't. After a beat she gave a sigh and looked at him finally. "Tell me i didn't lie to her."

Jarvis looked up from his book to look into his wife's aging eyes, she was still so beautiful, even when she looked so sad. "You didn't lie to her." He said, wondering if they were just lying to themselves.

School was the worst for Audra, she was teased constantly, not that the teasing was any different than before her pregnancy, just now it hurt more.

Her siblings, who had been told the truth by their parents as to how and why Audra became pregnant, were wracked with guilt and did their best to take the heat off of her at school. Aurora even going so far as to go to school in her pajamas, bare foot and all. It worked for about a day.

But a day was really all that was needed, because that night Audra went into labor.

By early morn the Li family had two new, not completely welcomed, additions, Tommy and Trista.

Chapter Notes:

Yes, i named one of the twins Tommy Li, be glad i didn't name the girl Pamela, after all, she is a Canadian treasure... or, her boobs are. Anyway! I didn't roll for an heir Okay, wait i did but Tommy's still my heir cause he was the second twin named lol. They're both vampires, which i did not fricking know! God, i just randomly picked a cute teenaged boy via MC to pollinate Audra with and well, surprise! No worries though, i likey vampires and already have plans for my fifth generation. The babies traits are as followed: Tommy - Heavy Sleeper & Hates the Outdoors. Trista - Grumpy & Perceptive. They both have the hidden can apprehend burglars trait and the makes no messes trait, as well as can salute, i guess that comes from Darryl's side of the family cause i've yet to have anyone in the military in my legacy.

The Aurora going to school in her PJ's thing was actually a glitch with her, she wore them everywhere, even in the bathtub. I had to CAS her and force the bitch to change her clothes, drives me crazy.

Oh! And a picture of Tamara's last tattoo, because once again it didn't fit into the flow of the story. This really is her last one because three days after the babies were born, Audra aged up to young adult.

(Also I love how you keep getting odd-gendered twins. I have YET to get that! And I've had at least four sets in my non-legacy games!)

  2. Cece, I think it comes with Twallan's Whoohooer, cause I never got one of each until I installed that mod. It was either two girls or two boys.

  3. Also, great Storytelling! I love it, and I wanna give poor Audra a hug. Good job working the glitch of the never ending pjs into the story. they should feel guilty.

Can't wait to read the next chapter.

  4. Yes, they should feel very guilty.

I was going to ask if we even knew who the father was, I didn't remember that coming up in the chapter it happened in. I guess it's a mystery.

Hopefully the family will remain supportive!!

  5. @Red The father is Darryl, the boy who talked her into drinking the drug laced drink in the first place. She has an entire conversation with him two chapters ago, he's just never been pictured is all.

@Cece And Loriann's right, i didn't start getting twins of both genders until i installed, actually it was Master Controller, not Woohooer. Whenever my character's pregnant, i go into Basic-Baby-Gender and pick 'random' and volia, one of each.

  6. @BlindingEchoes. Awesome. I'll do that with one of Louna's pregnancies then to see how it goes.

  7. Poor Audra, I really hope she perks up now that she has the twins to look after and doesn't get worse.
