Chapter Forty-Eight → So let's face it, this was never what you wanted. But I know it's fun to pretend, now blank stares & empty threats are all I have

The night before Audra was planning to speak to her brother, she couldn't sleep. Perhaps it was that her body was still accustom to when she use to work nights, but she knew it was nerves. She wasn't going to back down, not now, not when she was so close.

To keep her mind from going into a neurotic rage, driving her into a state of panic, Audra put herself to work at her computer, writing.

But too soon it was morning and Audra headed over to the small house Andrew shared with Alaura and her wife and they're children. Really, it was too small for three adults and three babies to live in, but it was all they could afford it seemed. Either that, or the enjoyed bumping elbows every corner they turned.

When she was let in, she was told that her brother was in the nursery, the rather dark and slightly dreary nursery. "Andrew." She said, interrupting her brother as he stared at his new and first daughter.

"What'da want?" He asked, not turning around.

"What's her name?" She asked, meaning the newborn.

"Autumn."

"Lets hope she gets your red hair." The girl smiled gently.

"What do you want?" He asked again, this time slightly more forceful.

"You can't even stand to talk to me?" She said with a little scoffing noise, her lips quirking in a ghost of a disbelieving smile.

"I can barely look at you." He admitted.

"I disgust you that much?"

"What. Do. You. Want?" He said a third time, making sure to punctuate each work with a second of silence.

"I know you know who it is, and i'm not here for revenge or anything like that. I'm here because those children need me, need something."

"Something only you can give them? Heh." Andrew scoffed, like he didn't believe his weakling of a sister could give anyone anything worth a damn.

"I need his blood!" She snapped.

"I thought his wasn't about revenge dammit!"

"It's not! Which is why i want you to get it for me." So there it was, out in the open, what she wanted from Andrew. Oh no, it wasn't much, considering how horrible he had been all their lives. Andrew sighed a looked to the side. "You owe me." Audra said, which caused her brother to close his eyes.

"Andrew?" She asked, after he had been silent for a moment.

"I'll do it." He said, finally looking at her. "I'll do it."

Audra doesn't know why Andrew agreed to help her get a DNA sample of the twins father, but all she knew was that she was happy he did. Perhaps he just wanted her out of the house, perhaps he had lied and wouldn't come through. Or maybe, finally having a daughter had changed him, for the good, hopefully. Audra spent the rest of the day pondering what had transpired at Andrew's house as she went about her business, which included a stop at city hall to register as a writer since she still needed a job, yet also needed to be able to stay home to work on a cure for the teenagers.

After a bath, the woman put on her favorite pajamas, content to read for the rest of the evening until the children returned from wherever they had run off too this time. She didn't enforce the strictest rules on them, mostly because they were underneath it all, really good kids. She was just about to call downstairs about something smelling delicious when the sound of a plate breaking could be heard, followed by the sounds of sobs.

"Daddy!?" She shouted as she ran down the stairs only to see her father crying.

Seemed the Reaper had paid a visit and taken Tamara with him.

Jarvis was a wreck.

Once Audra had her father a calmed down as she possibly could, she took a minute to call her children. Tommy, who was over at Tyrone's for the night, decided to stay where he was. Trista on the other hand, has been hanging out with a friend and was alone when she was told, but only for a moment.

"Hey man, sorry, assholes didn't have any plasma juice. Don't worry, you can come over to mine and my mom will let you try it, it's fucking crazy, like smoking dope only better... what, what's wrong?" The young vampire, with a thing for blue, said.

"My grandmother just died." Trista said

"Oh my god, like right now!?" She asked, Trista only nodding.

"I'm so sorry." She said as Trista fell into her arms crying, the other girl soothing her to the best of her ability.

Perhaps using the 'best of her ability' a little too much.

Meanwhile, Jarvis went to bed alone for the first time since he was a teenager.

Chapter Notes:

Not a happy chapter, i'll admit. Tarama died four days past the end of her life bar, the shortest i've had so far. I also forgot to post the teens newest traits last chapter, so here they are; Trista - Rebellious and Tommy - Natural Cook. And I seriously could not remember the other teenage girl's name, but she's going to be around for a while, she's the one that's going to be touting vampirism to the teens while Audra is doing her damnedest to cure it. I'll write it down next time i'm in game.

Also, lemme just say how much work it was to get those pictures of Audra and Andrew! Not only was the room tiny and the walls were up, but there were also 3 other adults in a room and a toddler, that's 6 people in that damn room, not counting the worm in the bed. It took forever to get a picture without anyone elses head in it! I shall show you my proof:
Pathway nightmare!! At one point they were all screaming about being unable to walk and the two babies were crying, i was like shouting at the computer, shut up shut up shut up!!! Lol, but i'm insane so that's okay
