Chapter Thirty-Six → The night is young and so are we, we can do anything that we wanna baby

WANING: There is a picture of a naked sim bum in the following post.

Jarvis loved his family, and had it been solely up to him he would have had ten kids. The one time he brought that up, Tamara laughed in his face. Which was fair, considering she was the one who did all the work at the start. Although he often found himself standing around during the day when he had the rare second to spare, exactly when he had become a recluse that catered to three screaming toddlers.

Oh sure, Tamara helped. But the woman was out of the house by six in the morning due to how far they lived from town, and usually didn't get home until late afternoon. Which left Jarvis alone raising the three toddlers.

As well as taking care of the house, cleaning and repairing the many things the children broke. What was it with Andrew and that damn computer? The boy could break it by looking at it.

The couple got to talk very rarely, but took very chance they got. "So did you hear about Corinne?" Tamara asked from the tub as she soaked away the stress and aching muscles that the daily grind at the paper brought with it.

"Your cousin?" Jarvis asked, only to get a nod from his wife.

"Apparently her and Saul skipped off to Vegas to get hitched because she was knocked up."

"I thought she was dating Bennie." Jarvis said, it can't have been that long since he'd spoken to his brothers, could it?

"Yeah, well, not anymore. Apparently Saul's a home wrecker."

"Like my dad." Jarvis said scornfully.

"I'm sorry about your dad." Tamara said gently. "They were doing the obituaries at the office today and i saw, why didn't you say anything?"

Jarvis just shrugged. "I didn't really know him, he left when i was still in diapers."

"But it's a small town."

"Exactly." Jarvis gave a humorless laugh. "It's a small town and i still didn't know him, what's the say about him?"

Tamara just smiled gently from her place in the tub. "You're welcomed to have him buried in the family cemetery." She offered.

"No." Jarvis shook his head. "I don't want the place sullied with the likes of him."

At first Tamara thought Jarvis was holding back his emotions about his father's death, but as she watched him over the next few days, she saw that he really and truly wasn't upset. He happily worked, taking on a huge order for an upscale business that requested fifteen of his best pieces of work.

He played with the children.

And was always there to lend an ear. "So they said that i couldn't be a princess and i asked why and they said because it wasn't a proper job so i had to think of a good one, so i said writer but not any kind of writer a special writer one, the kind that writes for movies, what's that called?"

"A screenwriter." Jarvis said with a smile, hoping one day that Alaura's run on sentences would stop, at times it could be hard to follow her quick talking.

"Right, so i said i wanted to be a screenwriter but i wanted to write movies about princesses and they said to forget about the princess thing and i don't understand because i think princess if a very decent job."

Before anyone knew it, time had flown and Audra's birthday was upon them. They celebrated as a family, albeit there was one hold out. Alaura wasn't sure how she felt about no longer being the eldest girl, she liked having her other siblings be much smaller than her.

Well whether Alaura was ready or not, Audra became a child on her own two feet. Her own two slightly neurotic feet.

Alaura was also not impressed that once again the cake was not chocolate.

Gratuitous outfit shot!

Audra, in true neurotic form, jumped from thing to thing like a ferret on crack. She also didn't trust most food made by others, which is why she made her own, although Cora could usually get her to eat food the woman made.

"How could you possibly eat that?"

"Easy, i put it in my mouth and swallow." Andrew quipped.

"But it's full of additives, it's how they get to you." Audra said.

"They who?"

"The big companies." She said meaningfully, like it was some big conspiracy.

"Audra, love, you've been reading Catcher in the Rye again haven't you?" Jarvis said as he cleared the table.

"Um... maybe?"

Seemed the little girl was more than neurotic, she also seemed to have a slight tendency to be obsessive compulsive about certain things, such as brushing her teeth and washing her hands.

But that didn't stop her from spending most of her time outside, even though the 'big companies' could get her easily when not in the safety of her own house.
(There's my Sim self once again, getting her ass kicked at chess by an 8 year old. Yep, pretty true to life actually)

"Last time i checked, we hadn't bugged the phones of every person in town." Rachel said as she played with her young second cousins.

"How would you know? You're still a rookie cop." Audra pointed out.

"I think i would know."

"That's what they want you too think."

"They who?"

"Oh, you know." Yep, Audra was a weird one.

In between Audra's bouts of terror, the family did as families do. They played together.

They ate together.
(Yum, mud!!)

And were just all around goofy, tea party in a bathroom, why yes i do think so. It's the perfect place in Oscar's mind.

Meanwhile, Cora decided it was time to retire.

And Cora felt the need to get another tattoo.... I think my sim self is stalking her.

Michael knows what you do in your spare time and does not approve, remember every time you do that, a kitten cries.

Speaking of kittens, Tamara felt that paw prints on her lower back and butt cheek was a good way to waste a hundred and fifty bucks.

Jarvis was still working diligently on the order of paintings, which was easier to do with Cora retired and helping with the toddlers. But he wasn't the only artistic one, Tamara often painted as well. And was struck one evening with the need to paint a picture for the girl's bedroom, one that reminded them of their fairy heritage. It was to be a birthday gift, speaking of birthdays.....

Birthday montage!
Toddler Spock Arthur

Becomes child Spock Arthur

Toddler Aurora becomes....

Child Aurora

Child Andrew.....

Teen Andrew.

Child Alaura....

Teen Alaura, who is once again the oldest female and enjoys it immensely.

Chapter Notes:

Damn those two make some good looking kids, wow, not a dud in the bunch. But only time will tell if the looks keep, they could always fade with age, ya never know. Saul, Jarvis's youngest brother, really did steal Bennie's girlfriend who he'd been with all of high school. They have two kids now, and Boinky married Rachel, Noah and Tamara's cousin that he basically cheated on Katina with. No kids so far, but Noah and Nicholas had a second, name Chadd. He got Nicholas's hair but a normal skin tone, so i didn't give him wings.

The kid's newest traits are as followed - Audra: Virtuoso, Arthur: Perceptive, Aurora: Brave, Andrew: Heavy Sleeper, Alaura: Genius.

Also, picture of Tamara's other tattoo that i forgot to get a picture of....

Blooper pic!!
AHH! What the hell happened to your head!?
This is what Audra looked like right after she aged up, she had on some busted ass hair that even she was wondering about. That is a serious WTF face.

  2. So do I, that's were her princess run on speech came from. My 8 year old niece went through a Disney princess phase that is thankfully over now, but all she wanted was to be a princess even though everyone (but me cause i'm a brat) told her it wasn't exactly a job one could just get.

Oh that would ruin all her teeth brushing fun wouldn't it, better not let her know lol.

  3. Loved the chapter, it was adorable, and damn those kids are growing up to be gorgeous. I love Spock...I mean Arthur.

So, Cora is really hanging in there. Or is she just that much younger than Zane? Either way, I love that she finally retired lol.

I'm hoping to get much sim time in because my in laws are out of town for the week, something I'm going to enjoy and hopefully maybe get to Generation Two this week in my game.

  5. @Loriann Yep, Cora just refuses to let go, stubborn old bitty. She's actually only a day or two younger than Zane, but so far she's 15 days past the end of her life bar. She's not the longest though, so far my longest living elder was Kinsley, she lived for 35 days past the end of her life bar.

Also, whee for no in laws! And for a week, wowza!

  6. Christ! Thirty five days?! That is an amazingly long time. And yep, they're doing their vacation which couldn't come at a better time since tomorrow is Danny and mine's anniversary. I'm still in generation one. Sarah's a teen now and Anthony should age up soon to Teen. As soon as he does I'm gonna put up Chapter Eight.
