Chapter Twenty-One → Animals and children tell the truth they never lie, which one is more human, there's the choice now you decide

Zane's not entirely sure if he should trust a stylist who has hair like an old Yakuza and dresses like an extra from an Indiana Jones movie, but goes with it anyway.

While not the worst, still kinda boring, Zane was not impressed.

Meanwhile at home, Kinsley was teaching little Noah how to talk, this time making sure to keep lama's off the menu after Michael seemed to latch onto those, although to be fair, Michael was far from normal.

When a strange man shows up in flippers, a speedo and a jacket, the kids know it's time to head home. Hanging out after school in the downtown core is always fun, until one weirdo ruins it for everyone.

Tamara's a lot like her dad was at her age, always hoping to find something more interesting in the bathtub than soap, she never does.

That night, in the middle of making dinner, Kinsley finally met the Reaper. It was no surprise to anyone that she didn't live long after Cherie had passed, the two had known each other since they were nine years old, that kind of bond stretches even past death.

Zane buried the two side by side in a small corner of the cemetery, next to Joanna, who, whether she had liked it or not, was just as much of part of the family as anyone else.

Tamara had a slumber party scheduled the day after her grandmother died, Zane told her it would be okay to cancel it but the little girl seemed determined to continue on with life, pushing forward through the pain.

Even the gnomes were in attendance.

The next day, long after everyone had left, Tamara hopped on her bike and made the long trek toward the household of one of her friends.

Jarvis Li and his two bothers were new in town, they sort of stood out for obvious reasons. "Why didn't you come to my slumber party Jarvis? Bennie did."

"Bennie doesn't mind being a weirdo." Jarvis said roughly, nearly pouting.

"You're not a weirdo Jarvis, you're just a little different, but everyone is."

"A little? Tamara, i'm a freak!"

"You're just half fare that's all, like i'm half white."

"Having a black mom and a white dad is not the same as having a mom who's green and shiny with pointy ears." Jarvis argued.

"Well, i dunno.... my dad's ears could be a little pointy, i don't really pay too much attention to ears." She said with a little smirk.

"His ears aren't pointy! Stop being dumb."

"I will if you will."

"I'm not being dumb." Jarvis said.

"I think you are, you're my friend, deal with it." She smiled.

"Well, i...." He went to argue a bit more, only to be hugged by Tamara. "You're a dork." He teased.

"Takes one to know one." She replied. "By the way, you're it,"

With a giggle they were off, running around in the Li's backyard playing tag. Tamara knew it was getting late and that her parents would be worrying, but she figured she could chance a few more minutes.

Turns out, she was right, her parents would have worried, had they not been distracted by Peanut and Michael's sudden onset of an incurable case of puberty.

Peanut was first.

Michael followed seconds afterward, aging up in the bathroom in your swimsuit was kind of a lame birthday but also so very very him.

Michael quickly found the aged up Peanut and started to speak his usual madness, his best friend just standing there watching him with a dumbfounded look on her face.

"You know, you're a little weird." Peanut said gently to Michael.

"So are you." He retort.

"Yeah." She said with a smile and a simple nod, the boy smiling back, seemed they had come to an understanding, weirdness abounds.

Chapter Notes:

Yep, Kinsley finally went. She was 135, which was like, woah, cause the game is set for 100 days, or was at the time, i've changed it to 120 since then cause i was tired of the kids/teens never getting enough time to do everything at school they needed too. It was funny, my mother, who reads my blog, yes, she is a simmer as well. Was like, i really like Kinsley, i hope she doesn't die anytime soon. Two minutes later she dies lol, i was like, you jinxed it!

Anyway, Michael's teen trait is Eccentric and Peanut's is Hopeless Romantic. Since they're not my heirs, i just rolled randomly for their traits. They're both adorable, Michael is too funny, he makes the so ridiculous faces when he speaks madness. Btw, the Li boys were born and raised in town but for the sake of story they're 'new to town'. They are ones i made, but for a much different game obviously, SP took them out of the bin and placed them in town. Their father divorced their mum after they had the three boys and hooked up with the town bike and they are now pumping out kids, who also happen to be green and shiny even though the town bike is very much a white woman lol. I swear, he's trying to populate the entire town with green skinned pointy eared babies.

Anyway, that's it for now cause my kidlets are arriving so i have auntie duty to take care off, shall post more later!
