Chapter Twenty-Six → When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you can't take anymore, let me be the one you call

The day of prom arrived too soon for some.

And not soon enough for others. "Tamara? Tamara? Hey, pay attention, over here. Did you break you father's computer? Hello, talking to you?" It was pointless, the teen was walking on air, meteorically speaking of course. (nice placement of the speech bubble Cora)

The evening brought with it a stretch limo and five... well four, well dressed kids arriving to meet their dates out front of the school. Okay, so Boinky was dateless, but he went anyway. He ended up winning prom king but was rejected by his crush, Peanut won prom queen again, which was nice since she was graduating in a week.

When the children were at the prom, Zane went over to his sister's house for a formal party only to find out that Suzanna had been turned into a vampire, Zane was not happy.

Derrick obviously wasn't happy either.

The kids had a fabulous time obviously, all of them making sure to make arses out of themselves in their pictures.

The next day was a Saturday and Tamara couldn't wipe the goofy smile off her face, she was a woman girl in love and it was obvious. Eventually her good mood starting grating on everyone's moods, the grouches, and she was run out of the house for fear of life and limb. No bother, she felt like she needed to do something with all that energy anyway, something big.

Swimming? Nah, something bigger.

Okay, so her fairy tattoo was so very typical and really rather big, being a rib piece and everything, but she liked it and was lucky that the guy at the salon was willing to do it for her. When she got a call from Jarvis, who sounded slightly upset, she told him where she was so he could meet her there.

The minute Jarvis walked up, Tamara could tell something was wrong, it was written on his face, literally. He had a large looking gash on his left cheek right under his eye. "Jarvis!? What happened?"

"Everything went ape-shit, Saul told mom about me going to the prom with you and she totally flipped out, started shouting at screaming at me. I mean, that i'm use to, ya know? She'd always done it, but i just kinda had enough and i shouted back and she hit me, a lot."

"Wait, your brother's just stood there? They didn't help? Even Bennie?"

"When i started bleeding Bennie took off, he's dating your cousin, he didn't want his ass to be next."

"I don't know what to do, Tee. I mean, she's my mom ya know? But she was so mad, but she'd never hit me before, i just.... i can't go back."

"No, you can't, come on." Tamara said.

"Where are we going?"

"My house."

Tamara got dressed quickly and drove them home, parking her bright pink car in the front yard. Jarvis was surprised that as he headed up the walkway toward the door, the sight of the gnomes and the oddly painted, glowing lawn flamingo was calming, he felt safe with the Talliways.

The minute they walked in Cora could see what was wrong, the upset and fear on Jarvis's face along with the gash. "Oh honey." She said softly, looking at him in a caring manner.

"I don't know what to do." He admitted softly with a gentle shrug.

"You ran, that's the right thing." Cora said with a slight nod, noting Zane heading toward the door but saying nothing of it, she didn't want to upset the two teens more than they were already.

Zane fumed as he drove down to the Li household, his jaw set firm in his anger. Of course when he found the house empty, he was even angrier. He made a u-turn and headed home before catching sight of a very green woman in the park, Zane pulled over.

"Lyla!" Zane called as he walked up to the high school teacher, this woman taught his children, yet she beat up her own? It was insanity, and not the funny 'talking to yourself' kind of insanity he was use to with Michael either.

"Mr. Talliway." The white haired woman said in a very diplomatic voice, assuming she was about to deal with an upset parent of one of her students. And in a way she was, just not concerning the student she thought.

"Don't pull your diplomatic bullshit with me you bigoted, small minded..... philistine." Oh yeah, Zane called her a philistine, turns out those English 101 classes in school did stick.

Lyla met him with a scathing look. "I'm sure I've no idea what you're talking about."

"You touch Jarvis one more time, you lay so much as a finger on any of your children, on any child. And i will make sure you regret it for the rest of your pathetic life and you can kiss your career goodbye, i'm sure the PTA will love to hear about an abuser teaching their children."

At Zane's words Lyla's face instantly fell, how could she have not expected it  to get out that she bloodied her eldest son's face? "I.... I...."

"Save it." Zane cut in on her stuttering. "Nothing you could say would ever make it better or all right, be aware Lyla, people are watching you now, closely."

That night, the kids were hanging out in the basement, not realizing what had transpired between Zane and Lyla. "You know." Jarvis said thoughtfully. "I think fit in with your family better than i fit in with mine."

"Why?" Tamara asked from the next easel as they painted together.

"Cause i'm weird, and you guys are weird, we match."

"What makes you so sure we're weird?" Tamara asked.

"Call it an inkling."

Chapter Notes:

I moved Jarvis into the house, but only because it worked with the storyline and also cause, i um, i wanted too? Lol i dunno, i enjoy having a full house. My second Gen is about to come to an end, in game Michael and Peanut have aged up and left, while Tamara and Jarvis are five days away from being YA's. That's not really a spoiler cause Michael and Peanut's age up is in my next chapter which will be posted soon, possibly too soon and well, neither of them are heirs so there :P Lol. I'm dreading the start of my third Gen, for one important reason, i hate change! *tear* The 'change of scenery' roll threw me for a loop, i was like, but but.... wibbles. Could also be because i'm rubbish at making houses, i try my damnedest but they never come out right and i usually hate how small the premade houses rooms are or the big ones are too big and blah. I'm extremely picky in case you couldn't tell lol. But with just about 200,000 in the bank now i should be able to build something decent... sorta maybe kinda okay-ish? Blah, we shall see. Anyway, no more blabbing, i am off!

Oh! And Tamara's tattoo doesn't count towards her total tattoos she has to get for the 'tattoo addict', it was just a bit of fun.

  1. You can always download a house from MTS you like, I personally plan on moving into the Pippy Longstocking house whenever my generation has enough $$$ for it (it's like 125k or something furnished)

  2. Poor Jarvis!! I'm glad he got away from that green old hag! He's already in a much better place...

To think you FINALLY got rid of the cardboard box, and now it's time to move again. =)
